This week, The Good South had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. We had a few meetings in Charleston and decided to make a week out of it. Our meetings went well, and we're excited to share some things a little down the road. For now, we'll tell you about all the fun things we did. We could talk for hours about the trip, but we'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
Couldn't leave home without these guys.
Our first meal was on Sullivan's Island at Poe's Tavern
, an Edgar Allan Poe themed restaurant and tavern.
We watched our Ole Miss Rebels win the Music City Bowl at The Alley
We were told Hominy Grill
was a Charleston must. It lived up to its reputation! (Be sure to try the Big Nasty Biscuit if you go.)
Our historic carriage tour of Charleston was one of our favorite things we did.
We're happy to have meetings on King Street any day!
was another highly recommended restaurant. It's in a beautiful historic home and is said to be haunted.
Dinner at FIG
. Our mouths are watering as we type this.
Pit stop to see the Atlantic Ocean.
We spent a few hours walking around the Charleston Battery.
On the way to Savannah, we visited the Angel Oak
Another historic carriage ride in Savannah, GA.
Savannah has 22 squares within the city. The Forrest Gump bench scenes were filmed in one of the squares!
We visited Forsyth Park, a 30 acre park in the historic district.
If you haven't been to Charleston and Savannah, start planning your trip. You won't regret it!
